We strive to make admission to Summit Malibu as simple and straightforward as possible. The rehab admission process begins with a simple phone call to Summit Malibu, where our addiction treatment specialists are always available for confidential consultation.
We will be able to assess if our treatment program would be a good fit for you. We will also determine if your insurance can be accepted for full or partial coverage of the program.
Our Admissions specialists will answer any questions you have about our program and what to expect in our treatment program. They can also answer any other questions you may have about addiction treatment in general.
The Summit Malibu staff will help you determine the correct course of treatment, including all options and alternatives that are available if Summit may not be the right fit for you.

Medical Consultation
Admissions involves a consultation with a physician that specializes in treatment for addiction and dual diagnosis/co-occurring disorders.
Summit Malibu also maintains relationships with many independent physicians familiar with substance abuse and dependence, as well as with dual diagnosis and co-occurring conditions that accompany substance use disorders.
Medical Detox may be required to ensure the safety and comfort of our clients. If medical detox is necessary, treatment will begin with detox under the supervision of our medical and clinical team.
Admissions Policies
Our admission policies require screening for any conditions that may influence a client’s ability to utilize our services.
In cases where we determine that placement at Summit might be inappropriate, the client, their family and friends, and any supporting professionals and therapists will be consulted and provided with outside referrals to better accommodate their specific needs.
Summit Malibu maintains professional relationships with other local treatment centers with specific therapeutic specialties and a variety of price options.
Payment and Insurance
