Beth Farar is a California State Licensed Marriage, Family and Child Psychotherapist (LMFT) who has been treating people for more than 22 years.
Beth graduated from Cal State Northridge in 1992 as a Radio TV Film Major and then went on to get her Masters in Psychotherapy from Philip’s Graduate Institute in Encino, California.
She specializes in working with individuals, couples, children, adolescents, and family therapy.
Beth is trained in Rapid Resolution Therapy (RRT) by its creator and pioneer, Dr. Jon Connelly. This form of psychotherapy works well for helping people overcome unresolved issues of trauma and past traumatic experiences.
As a California Native, Beth has worked in the field of Addiction Treatment for the past 10 years and understands the challenges, hopes, and fears that clients experience when seeking recovery from addiction.
In addition, Beth has worked in private practice and many different public schools counseling children, adolescents, and their families.
As an experiential therapist, Beth often uses the beach to do Grief and Loss Exercises for clients who are suffering from the loss of a loved one through death, divorce, emotional cut-off or a loss of self.
She helps clients identify their desires and empowers them to make positive changes in their lives. Her approach is compassionate, direct, and nonjudgmental while helping clients feel safe in their recovery journey.
Beth loves dogs, music, health, and wellness.
