Amaris Baker is a graduate from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln where she earned her Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Psychology and minored in Sociology.

She obtained her Master’s Degree (MA) in Counseling: Marriage and Family Therapy at California State University-Long Beach.

Amaris is a Licensed Marriage Family Therapist (LMFT). She has worked at a variety of clinical settings. She has a background in working with children, teenagers, couples, adults, families, and groups. Amaris also has extensive experience in crisis intervention and suicide prevention.

She is trained and utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Trauma focused modalities such as Narrative Exposure Therapy (NET). Amaris is passionate about exploring the impact of trauma on addiction with clients.

Amaris is currently a Primary Therapist at Summit Malibu.
