Joanna Medina earned her Bachelor’s Degree from California Lutheran University and she began working in field of addiction treatment immediately after she graduated.

She currently serves as the Medication Room Supervisor at our treatment facilities in Malibu, California.

Joanna’s personal experience with addiction provided the motivation for her to work in treatment, where she can provide support, compassion, and hope to others.

She has found it very rewarding to be able to witness the transformations that have been made by our clients and residents here at Summit Malibu.

Joanna hopes to return to school again soon so she can pursue her degree as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).

She loves sunsets, hiking, spending time with family and friends, as well as attending and being of service to others in the fellowship of Narcotics Anonymous.
